Need advice on leases in Kensington Market

Hi everyone, I just signed a lease for a studio in Kensington Market and I’m feeling a bit uneasy. The landlord dropped in last week and asked me to keep my pet hamster inside a specific room. Is this normal? Also, are there any hidden costs I should be aware of? Appreciate any insights!
