Lost out again! Bidding wars are insane right now!

I just lost another rental today. Someone came in with an offer $250 over asking! How are people even making these crazy bids? It’s like a competition where the rules keep changing. Is this normal in Toronto these days? Feeling so stressed about finding a place!
