Need advice on rent increase for my East York apartment

Hey everyone, my landlord just notified me of a 5% rent increase for my 1-bedroom in East York. Is this legal, and how can I find out if it exceeds any guidelines? I know Ontario has rent control, but I'm unsure what my rights are. Thanks for your help!
