Is Leslieville still family-friendly?

I've been eyeing Leslieville for a potential move but wanted to get the scoop. Are the schools there really as good as people say? And what about safety? I heard it’s gotten a bit busier lately with all the new condos going up. Pros and cons from families living there would be super helpful!
