Frustrated with Studio Apartment Hunting in Toronto

Why is it so hard to find a studio under $1,500 in Toronto? Every listing seems to come with hidden fees, terrible landlords, or building issues. I've searched for a cheap studio around $1,400 but keep running into red flags! Anyone else feeling this pain? Need some encouragement here!
