Exhausted from the Endless Basement Apartment Search

Just need to vent real quick. The competition is ridiculous, and every time I find a place that looks decent, I get ghosted or it's gone before I can even see it. Why do so many listings end up being fake? I'm so done with this process; it's genuinely wearing me down.
