Talk me out of moving to a suburban rental for my family

I'm considering a 3-bedroom house in the suburbs for $2800. The space is great for the kids and there's a yard, but I'm worried about the school quality and the longer commute for my job downtown. I really need to know if this is worth it or if I should stick to our current place. Help me decide!
